INLiSa Piloting Platform
RFI – Request For Information
INLiSa is developing a Lithium & Salars Technology Pilot Platform, which will integrate shared infrastructure and provide access to real brines sourced from Chilean salars (salt flats). This platform will operate as a neutral and pre-competitive environment, enabling technology developers, research groups, and industrial partners to test and validate their processes under controlled, traceable, and regulation-compliant conditions. Developers will be able to validate their technologies under representative scenarios, supported by analytical services and specialized technical assistance.
The request for information is aimed at developers who aspire to translate innovation into real-world performance. We are looking for teams that need reliable data to reduce technological risk and who value operating with rigorous standards, both in traceability and environmental protection. We also expect participants willing to collaborate in a pre-competitive environment, where learning accelerates the sector’s development.
The survey includes—but is not limited to—technologies related to:
- Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE)
- Solid processing, such as lithium clays or other non-brine matrices
- Purification and upgrading of concentrated brines
- Alternative routes for high-purity products without intermediate carbonate (LiOH, LiCl, specialized salts, etc.)
- Brine recovery and reinjection
- Materials, sensors, and instrumentation resistant to high salinity
- Modeling, advanced sensing, and process digitalization
- Circular economy and valorization of effluents or discarded salts
- Scientific and biotechnological applications requiring authentic brines and knowledge of saline ecosystems
This is not yet a piloting offer: we are co-defining the platform with the very actors who will be able to use it in the future. If your technology is ready to be tested under demanding conditions and provide evidence, we want to hear your requirements to incorporate them into the design.
